Default 03 Monte Carlo Factory Radio Switch to '07

Hi. Want to know if I'm able to switch my factory radio on my '03 SS Pace Car MC to an 07 MC Factory Radio and still have Satellite Radio Capability, Steering Wheel Controls, and System Controls like Tire Pressure, Etc.

Is it a simple switch? Or do I need all sorts of adapters, etc?

What is the latest factory radio GM that's kick *** that I can use with the 03 without making any crazy changes? Of importance is Built in Satellite, an Aux Port and maybe even the ability to connect it to an aftermarket amp if possible.

Any help appreciated.

P. S. Don't want to do aftermarket. Would like to stay with a kick *** factory radio to stay low key.

the radio in my 03 impala went and i would like to replace it as well. based on my research you can get a refurbished or newer style radio however the dealer has to "unlock" it with a special computer tool. so a less expensive radio will ultimately become wasted on the cost of a dealership visit... and then from what i udnerstand there is no guarantee that it will work.

The '06/'07 Monte radios *might work*, but will require some changes:
- They don't use the same connectors in the back (so you will have to fabricate your own harness to connect them)
- The dash is a different shape for the two different radios.
- I don't know if the '06/07 Monte radios were designs to work with the interfaces for tire pressure monitoring and such.
- Not sure if a GM Tech II can program the '06/07 radio in the '03 Monte (I'm going to guess it won't because of changes on the computer tech in the car, but it's one of those uncharted territories).

I assume you are looking to just gain the AUX port (so you can plug in a MP3 player/iPod)?

A couple alternatives, if you search the internet, people have "hacked" GM radios to add an AUX port. Another option, you can play MP3's on CD using a GM MP3 Radio #10348717, only offered in '04 Cavvies and Venture Vans. I have on in my Monte, after someone dialed it in with a GM Tech II, works 100% perfect. I don't know if it will work with your satellite (I suspect it will, as I believe the connector is there for it and I found out the Pontiac version of this MP3 radio worked with satellite radio).
