if the shop has said an extra $300-400 for a y pipe and a second muffler then that is just ripping you off. I would say no thanks to the whole deal and see how fast they they drop the price to keep your buisness. maybe go with the cheaper mufflers and see if they will make a deal. if not take cowboy's advice and wait a bit. lots of members here have gotten complete dual systems for around $450. hope it works out.

I only paid $330 the first time I had my exhaust done, and that was going from single to dual with Magnaflow mufflers.

Then later on down the road, I decided to replace my resonator with the smaller Magnaflow resonator, and replace the tips which cost me $110.

So all in all, I've spent $440 on my exhaust set up, and I had single from the factory, now I have duals. (these are exact prices too, I know because I just looked at the receipts when I had to have a bracket fixed.)

OK, Went and got my exhaust done, and I am very impressed with everything. Went to a local muffler shop, first just got a Flowmaster 40 Delta thrown on and started it up and it was barely noticeable. So then I got Resonator and U-bend taken out, a nice tip and they replace a whole bunch of hangers. So I paid the bill, and it was 306$! They only charged me for the muffler which was way below price, list was 150$ and I believe they gave it to me for 120$ and the tip I got for 45$ when list was 65$ and the only other thing they charged me for was the pipe for resonator delete, nothing for the U-Bend and only 1 hour labour. They let me watch them do the whole process, well until my buddy came and picked me up. And I am impressed with the sound. At start up its got that nice growl and you can just hear it idling, then you can hear it slightly all the way to 110 and beyond. Standing outside it sounds great, got the nice low growl and some great back rap when you let off. NOT ricey at all! So all in all I am very happy with the route I went and if I ever want to go duals its just a y-pipe and muffler and a tip, so not that big of a deal.
Thanks for all the input!
