the keys to a good sounding 3800?

Borla Pro-XS has been popular on GP's for awhile now. I wouldn't say it makes it sound 'good' though- I still think the sound of the engine in the video is not very exciting or intimidating (compared to say even an old 5.0 Ford V8 or something like that).
Looking at the first comment on the video- do they really have an air to air IC before the s/c- with just the cone filter on the end? I sure hope that's a joke. Same w/ the 400 hp tag- I don't see a real IC, and it doesn't sound like it has any sizeable cam in it.

That's what I'm dealing with....sounds okay, but it could be far more rumbly.

It's tough to make a transvere mount 3800 sound good. It's got a lot against it-
- Odd firing order
- FWD engine mounting makes exhaust pulses unequal bank to bank
- Low compression
That said, I've heard some that sound good. Pretty much any 3800 with a turbo sounds WAY better, LOL. Cam'd 3800s generally sound good, too. Other then that...they usually sound like pooh, at least in FWD cars. 3800 Fbodies tend to sound a lot better due to the engine mounting and the equal length manifolds.
