Default Could my cat be clogged?

So I know I need a new trans and about 2 months ago (I think lol) I got 2 p0420 codes, but I figured its just Cus I have a diff DP causing the CEL to come on, why would it take this long to come on though? :p
I've had this magnaflow downpipe for about 9 months now I believe. Could the cat be going bad already?? the car started running really rough about a week ago, surging and no power at all when I get down on the gas. Once it hits 2nd gear it bogs down and has no acceleration whatsoever. I was thinking it's my trans but could it also be my cat?

Hi `Frank,
If your `cat or kitty is clogged, I'd tried giving the cat a
laxative to see `if it helps ? Sorry, I couldn't resist...

Good Luck `Frank,
Yes, I think a pressure test is the first step to take..I hope it's not a trans prob, because that can be expensive 4-Sure...

It could very well be the cat. These high-flows aren't made of the greatest quality, if your tune is running you rich you could destroy these things quick.

(think of the price difference between a real cat and these high-flows, that should tell you a lot)

My thinking is along the same lines. If the cat is clogged in 9 months time then putting another one on is just a 'band-aid'. You need to find the cause of the problem and solve it or you'll be back in the same position in short order.

Edit: As a comparison I put the Magnaflow DP on my Monte a month or two before you did and I'm not experiencing any problems with mine clogging up yet.

You get tuning software hooked up to it and monitor your LTFT

Or you clean all of your filters and sensors (esp MAF and o2)
