Intake project I am working on
I keep going up and down the pics. There's a lot going on in there and it's hard to completely wrap my head around this. It's just a really cool thing to pioneer without a plan laid out for you - no precedence. I've used this term before and you are defining it here: There is a difference between a mechanic and an installer. There are not a lot of mechanics left in the world. The shops and dealershipships are full of installlers. But a monkey could probably be trained to take a part out and put a new part in.
Thanks for the update and keep 'em coming!

I am still trying to wrap my head around it all
it is quite the learning experience to tell you the truth. I think I have though the whole process out atleast 500 times by now and still come up with new ideas. I just want to make sure I nail these vacuum lines dead on so I have been putting a ton of thought into how lately. Once I get the rails and tb things should fall into place.
Thanks man. I am lucky to have some good friends to help too.

Man, this is looking sweet!! I love this kind of DIY stuff!!
And it's even more fun to watch it unfold when someone is doing something that has never been done or done by few. To my knowledge, this has never been done, so I'm with JuniorCar, this is super cool. I also agree with JuniorCar about how so many people can change parts, but few do something that is out of the box.
Keep it up Zach, loving the project!!
Are you planning to get your Monte re-tuned after this? Or watch for issues in your fuel trims to see how much you may need a re-tune?

This is a first for me I just decided after a lot of research to just jump into it one day.
I will need a retune with how drastically more air will be coming into the engine. It won't run right with the new throttle body or Maf so it will be necessary. I plan on having Will at Overkill do the tuning he really knows the platform.
Thanks Mel! Same here it's killing me waiting. Once I get it all sorted out I plan to make it look as good or better than my engine does now.
I got my fuel rails last night. They look pretty badass. However my injectors are really short and the mounting hardware is too small to bolt to the intake. So I am gonna mess with some aluminum strapping and see if I can make my own. Otherwise I might just upgrade to #42 injectors.
Thanks Mel. I will have a 90mm ls2 throttle body on Wednesday also. Things should really come together soon. I have been trying to get a hold of will at overkill too but he is a hard guy to reach sometimes.
Well I got the fuel rails mounted on the intake and all that. Routing for the stainless hose is going to be hard because of the stock location. I need a couple more fittings to make It work... Buy a nice rail kit like that and can't use 90% of the fittings that came with it
I will have my throttle body this afternoon.
