This is 100% correct. A CAI box would require that a 98 or 99 Monte Z34 have the windshield washer fluid resevoir and battery be relocated. This is because the engine bays for 5th gen Montes are based on the 1st gen W-body engine bays. 2nd gen W-bodies are completely different with very few interchangable parts with 1st/1.5 gen W-bodies.

Many 5th gen Monte owners have made their own fwi, myself included. I had to turn my battery sideways and remove the washer resevoir in order to make it work when I had it.
