Default Cold Air Intake questions

How many of you recommend them and are they worth getting? I have been thinking about possibly getting one but if it's not really worth it then I won't worry about it. Also, if they are worth getting, Is there one in particular you guys recommend?

They don't really add much, but they do add more to your engine noise. Makes it sound a little deeper.

You have the LS4, correct? Check out http://coldairinductions.com

Does everyone like the ones at this site, http://coldairinductions.com , or are there better ones out. Does K&N make a good product? or are there any better ones out. The ones at that site look pretty good. and They don't look like a cheap product.

Don't buy a K&N, they are a HAI and will take away from performance than anything.

Cold air inductions is the nicest, I think, but also the most expensive. If you like the look of Cold air inductions you will like the Wizaird which is cheaper.

Cold Air Inductions are about the best out there - and they also now sponsor our forum. ZZP sells a good product as well, the WizAired intake but they are only available for the 3400 and 3800 engines. The newer 3.5, 3.9 and 5.3 are only made by CAI.

K&N intakes are junk, they have no insulation to keep heat from the engine from getting sucked right back in. The box is really not a box, it doesn't have a lid. You could build all that yourself, but by the time you've gone through the money you could have bought a CAI intake for less that would work better.
