well, the first major problem like most other ebay ones is its not a COLD air intake, its a warm air intake. You need someway of keeping the warm engine heat away from the air going into the cone, otherwise, you lose performance that you would get from it being a Cold air. take a look at all top brand CAI and youll notice your not paying a lot for just a tube, its a high performance filter like "K&N" for example, then a well designed and insulated heat shielded box. many people can fab up a good box and use these kits your looking at... it all depends on how good you are at creating stuff like that.

 

That was my plan is fab up the box. Just wanted to know if its worth the 80 bucks?

 

kind of doubt it... i do'nt like the stuff on ebay.. mostly crap.

 

you could probably make something similar, lose no performance by making it yourself, and save 30 or 40 bucks you can spend else where...

 

I will probbuy a k&n if they made one for the 3.5/
