I wash my cars more during the winter months then I do in the warmer months. (hahahaha)

Since the road people have decided to start salting when it rains around here, it never fails I have to drive past a salt truck. I know the couple times I had to do this is what damaged the driver side of my '79 Dodge Diplomat that I had. The car was in great shape when I bought it but not after a few winters.

For those who have custom aftermarket wheels a thing we used to do "Back in the ole days" was smear grease on the wheels when winter hits. The grease keeps harsh road salt and such off the wheels finish. Then when spring comes a bit of soap removes the grease and the wheels look good as new.

I ran S/S Cragars in the winter doing this and they came out looking great.

 

In winter, I park the Monte more oftenand ride the motorcycle.

The weather is not so hot and it is more fun to ride when it is 70 degrees.

 

a canadian once told me these words.... "Maybe you live in an area that does not have snow on the ground in April, if so, I hope you appreciate it."

I can't believe it!!! So Cal is scheduled for 3 days of rain. How insane is that?

 

My Monte won't ever see anymore salt and snow - that's what the Mini Cooper S is for! If it's above freezing I wash the car in my driveway and make sure to spray the undercarrage and wheels, if not I got to a do it yourself car wash - I will never go to a gas station car wash - only touchless for my Mini!

 

Throw the studded snow tires on and let her buck!..lol.. I wash everytime the monte gives me that glare from neglect.[>:]
