Why did Chevy do this?

The Beretta, that's right, I can't believe I forgot that one! I honestly would rock a Beretta any day but it would have to be the Z26; probably my favorite GM small car of the 80's-90's. The Beretta is surprisingly sharp looking considering it's basically a 2-door Corsica.
Also, like I said earlier, the Cavalier Z24 of the same time period is decent looking; the boxy design like the picture Dave posted.
It's pretty much impossible to come across either of these cars in decent condition anymore, let alone at all.

I see the Cavalier Z24 every now and again. None with the 5 speed though. The last time I saw a Berretta Z26 was in 1997. It was a Hot car in purple. Even though it was not available with a 5 speed like the other Z cars. I had an IRoc Z28 with a 350. It was an 88. I loved that car. Had Shorty Headers, Part for Performance free flow Cat and a Summit Cat back exhaust. It was a Honda Smoker!
The SS models have all been 2Dr Coupes, this new SS is more like a Frankenstein Mutant!
