I've had two offers for personal friends who would like to buy my Monte. Im thinking of going for an 06,07 SS but I'm concerned of it is worth it mechanically. I know the transmissions don't last past 100k.

Is it worth the risk? My 06 OS perfect now no problems at 86k. Can a dealership give and honor warranty on transmissions on a used car and for how long.

In all honesty, I have heard of factory warranties being handed off to 2nd owners. Not sure how that works. I'd suggest go look at some cars and ask the dealers. But do what you really want to do.

 

Im the second owner of my Silverado and the warranty just transferred over into my name. I know the feeling of wanting to sell it, give it some heavy thought and weigh the pros and cons of each. Which ever comes out with more pros go with it. Im almost in the same boat but im thinking of either rebuilding my whole Monte or dropping in a used L36 and selling it.
