So what does every1 do to their Monte to get ready for Winter?

Summer- I use 10w30 instead of 5w30, check all of the levels periodically, and make sure A/C is in top shape.
Winter- Go back to 5w30, use A/C less, eye battery charge, air up tires more often, and check coolant (especially if it gets below freezing)
FWIW, my car is a daily driver.

I don't really do anything special to prepare it for winter. I've been using all-season tires year round, and even with all the snow we got last winter, the car handles pretty well with those on. Just put a new set of 4 tires on a few months ago.
Don't forget to check your wiper blades. You might even want to get a set of winter blades. And make sure you've got wiper fluid that is good for winter temps so it doesn't freeze up in the reservoir when the temps drop.

Wow this threads grown a lot, I wish I lived in Florida so My cars didnt have to know the hell of winter lol. I changed the wiper blades when I got the car not too long ago because the idiot who owned the LS before me let them get down to the metal so I have a nice arched scratch going across my windshield!, my tires are a little over half tread not sure what type but should be good for winter. UPDATE: also I checked out the storage garage and its a cement floor clean enough room for the monte and has lights in it however I spaced off looking for outlets for the battery tender will look next time I'm there though

I wax, wax, & wax some more lol I try to get as thick of a layer as possible on it since it will be several months before I can really clean it again. Everything stays on my monte besides the stock interior floor mats. This year I hope to undercoat the monte before the salt gets laid down for the season but who knows if I'll have time to do that since school is starting. She gets driven every single day but comes home to a garage with the eclipse

I have a set of winter tires I throw on and try to keep it as clean as possible. I'm thinking about getting mud flaps, where did you get yours Chibi? I don't want anything too big but last winter I had huge ice buildup on the wheel well. Also, I think it would help rusting and whatnot.
