So what does every1 do to their Monte to get ready for Winter?
I wash and wax and deep clean the interior including condition the leather seats (this stuff is amazing )

i put mine up with 4 Jack able wheel dolly's .It is easy to push the car around in the garage and they are a great way not to flat spot your tires

and i put stabil in the tank

and i use the CTEk battery charger because it reconditions my 3 batteries in my Monte

and lastly I put the cover on and she is good for a long winters nap

I should clairify that it's my only set of TIRES. I have the stockers. When I bought the car 15K ago, it had brand new tires on it. I then decided to get new 16'' rims because it would be cheaper than new rims and tires. I could get a set of tires for the stockers, but that's another $400+
Where in Iowa are you?
I put my stockers back on, even though I hate them with a passion, feels like the longest 3.5 months ever but o well.. I do need to get some new winter tires for them though. My summer ones to a better job at the moment LOL. Found that out this past winterish season when we had one little snow storm after I changed my wheels back to my chrome ones.
My paint is protected with this.... Optimum Opti-Coat 2.0 Permanent Paint Coating FREE BONUS ... so I dont gota worry about salt damaging paint as my car is permanently protected, I dont even got to wax it anymore. I just put it though the Touchless wash every so often and the paint looks freshly detailed.
I usually get a fresh oil change before going into winter season.
Thats really about it. I prep more for summer than I do the winter.. Winter gets the leftovers from summer LOL

I live in NE Ohio. Where I live is in a secondary snow belt, and then I work near Cleveland (primary snow belt). Lots of lake effect snow. ODOT isn't much help either -- all the salt we use ate the hell out of my wheel wells. I actually had to have them replaced. But definitely wash frequently when permitted (don't wash it if it's below freezing obviously or your doors might not open the next morning). Wax it really well. I always have mine detailed and waxed heavily by late November (snow usually starts a flying by early December). Don't let snow get inside your rims...my LS rims have so many little spokes it's hard to clean them out and it eats the paint and causes rusting.
