I must actually say I got lucky, I got the five spoke rims lol, and since my LS is a prior salvage it sat for a few years in the owners gargae before he restored her, thus there is not much rust, the rear wheel wells arent even bubbling like most of the Montes around here, my rims do have a lot of grime ont hem though I have put on a couple coats of the turtle wax, and before I got my SS my LS was getting waxed with the Turtle wax quick spray wax almost daily, I've only had one bad experiance with washing a vehicle in winter, it was below freezing and i went to wash my truck wll the hose was broken in the carwash so instead of spraying it just flowed from the top dropping soap all over the truck, I backed out to hurry into the next stall to wash her off but when i backed out the soap froze all over the truck and had a hard time seeing out to get into the next stall, but she washed off fine thankfully

By the way Mogwog, I saw that you had written you'd purchased a spoiler and were gunna get it on as sonn as it was painted. Had a question for you. I'm looking at getting on of the surfboard spoilers (I think thats what people are calling them), and putting it on my LS for an added look, If you've painted yours yet how did it turn out and what paint code did you use? Its hard to match the Smoke grey looking paint, The LS has more plans for her right now than the SS, gunna try and make the LS look pretty nice so she dosent get totally ignored for the SS lol

Yep, it's on. I actually had to change the whole trunk lid because the previous owner put a spoiler from an Impala on it and didn't even paint it, and thanks to the design of the Impala spoiler I tore up the area underneath it trying to clean the snow out that got stuck under it.

Anyways:

Thank you. As far as paint codes I'm not sure what he used. He said he had a hell of a time matching the paint because A. it's faded and B. matching the metallic. A good painter shouldn't have a problem matching it, and since it's only a spoiler not a whole trunk it'll be even easier since it's less area.

Yep, just pop it off. Slide some dental floss or thing string behind it, then use some Goo-Gone to get the residue off.

I've been keeping my eye on craigslist as some cheap tires my size pop up every now and then. If I see I see a good set I'll grab them and throw them on my stockers.

I'm from Laurens, IA and go to school in Ames, IA
