Default removing cigarette lighter

Ok I want to move a good 12volt lighter from one center console to another. How do you remove the lighter from the center console? I have the consoles out and have access from the back side.

It threads on in two pieces. One from the front one from the back.

The older ones seemed to, but the one in the 2004 just doesn't look like that. I will check again.

I just went outside to check. If you look down inside the lighter it has a metal tab on each side. I think you just have to push them in from the back. I tried to get a pic but it wouldn't turn out.

Good insight. I went inside the cigarette lighter and pushed the 2 little black tabs outward and slid the metal sleave out of the plastic case housing toward the front. After that the housing came right out. Thanks
