Default Question on how to improve..

The speed after 60mph. Me and my friend were racing he has a 2010 Aspen with the big Hemi in it and we are completely equal almost i might be ahead a bit until 60mph. than he pulls away how do i improve my speed at around 50 mph and up.

Any engine mods/ weight reduction. A guy were i live took a stock mustang gt and is running 11s just on weight reduction never touched engine.

Yea get cocky with that and see what happens. I timed my 0-60 and 0-110 a few times before a very long time ago and noticed up shifting the gears myself did the best job till about 80mph.

But honestly between u n me i strongly DON'T recommend u pushing ur 200k+ motor that often because the risk of it blowing up is just that much higher

I'd agree. You can add small/reasonably safe mods to these cars to improve them slightly.... But when you begin talking about taking a naturally aspirated engine and bottle feeding it, super or turbo charging it, even on a new engine, there are factors to consider. Factors are:
- Keeping up on it's maintenance
- If it not done or tuned right, you could have BIG problems
- If it's an older and worn engine, you may kill it pre-mature (so if you have your heart set on it, be prepared you may want to factor in future engine swap, not saying it will happen, just keep it in mind).

That's where your powerband dies. HV3 intake and ER Rockers (and tune) will bring that area to the motor back to life.
