Well I was mesing around with my radio and I was putting everthing back and I put the key in and try to turn it but It's lock up . (For most of you that have taking the radio out and put it back together. Thattheres part where you have to turn the key and pull the shifter all the way down so you can move the front pannel out , to get to the radio.)
Well I also notice that the steering wheel is free(normaly when the car is off you can't move it, well I can) And the brakes feel hard ... I don't know I'am out of ideas.


It like it when you try to turn and pull the keys out when it still in gear, well it like that but in reverse. But how the hell I did that I have know idea.
And Its knot like its my first time taking the dash apart.

 

I'm big on calling roadside assistance. I had my pcm lock me out twice. they have different formulas that the operator can guide you through.

 

also, did you try pulling the battery and letting it sit for 60 seconds, then reconnecting, and trying again?

 

No why?

 

Forgive me but what does pcm stand for ?

its the computer that controls all engine and transmission functions. By pulling the battery for a little bit you may be able to reset it

 

The monte is alive again!

I replace the ignition lockCylinder & igniton switch. Since I could'nt move the key, I could'nt push the tab down and remove the cylinder or the cable. So I had to break theignition switch. I also ran in trouble with that Security sensor chip. I wasn't about to spend more money t, so I somewhatremove the chip from the old lock. and plug it in. Use some elec tape and i'am set to go. Maybe someday when i have more money. I do it right..
