Unhappy The Monte is dead
So on my way back from the baseball hall of fame she threw a rod and puked oil all over the highway. Of course it was 120miles from home. I guess i gotta look for a new one. She gave me a good run but c'est la vie

Sorry for the loss but maybe if you shouldn't have driven it so hard you wouldn't have thrown a rod.

That does suck. If the rest is in good shape just find another 3.1 and swap it in. Or there are a few really nice monte's for sale right now on here. AwesomeSS(amy's) silver and an 06 owned by 06-montelt2. I would just find a used 3.8 and throw it under the hood transmition and all. Wanted to do that to my 94 lumina befor I sold it.

Dude, that does suck. If your Monte is a 3100 and the rest of it is in good shape, you could engine swap for a 3400 (it's almost a direct swap, would be an easy performance boost).

Or, you could get a series III 3800.....
