Hey in my 2003 LS my key fob just stopped working. Was the factory fob and was working this morning but was not working when I got to work? Tried a different 3 volt battery, does the CR2032 number matter or will any 3 volt battery work? Anything else to troubleshoot? thanks

 

Same thing happened to me right after I bought my car. What I discovered was one of the solder spots holding the silver... "battery holder", lack of better term, on mine broke loose. I was afraid of trying to re-solder it so I took a small piece of cardboard and put it inside the cover behind the battery, it's worked fine since. I know cheap and bad repair but better the toasting the board since I only have one remote.

Hope it's your problem too and you have more cajones then me to fix it properly and if you don't at least you have a viable option.
