It's very close! It is at $14k now and one day left.

There is certainly good and bad to both formats. These days, on eBay, I am usually doing a "buy it now". eBay has become a market place more than an auction house. Anything I was bidding on, I would try and wait until the last few seconds to bid. With eBay's format, I never understood bidding on something until the final day of the auction unless you were trying to overcome a reserve. With BaT, it is still kind of the same, might as well bid in the final 2 minutes and see what happens and bid if you want in the extended minutes, unless again, trying to meet a reserve. In the case of this Monte, it has no reserve, I would have held all bidding until close to the end, but that's me.

I still think it was a buddy that shot that bid out there to get it higher since it's no reserve. No reason why a no reserve car should go from 6300 > 13500 with 2 days left lol

I give @ChibiBlackSheep his dues on this, he nailed it. Maybe we can get him a spot on The Price Is Right! lol.

I have seen a couple minty 2002 Dale Sr Montes go for more than this one sold for. I am curious how the seller feels. Were they expecting a lot more from this or is this on par with what they expected?

$17k was the final bid that closed the auction.
