Would I need to bypass the GM Passlock 2?? How?

 

My limited experience is yes, you need to bypass the passlock system. You can buy a module to do it (which I have done for two vehicles I installed a remote start into). I used one that gives you steps to check for a resistance and then configure the module. I've used another that auto-detects what it needs. I have also heard a rumor that Passlock can be bypassed with a resistor.
