Default Pcm

I am getting ready to start my turbo build on my 2000 Monte 3800. I am capable of doing all the mechanic work but not to sure about the PCM stuff. I see on here a lot about people getting there cars tuned and seeing a big difference in them. I guess what I'm asking is when I get the turbo on my car do I need to get the car tuned? Also about how much does it cost and who does it? I've never heard of anyone doing it where I'm at.

Yes it will need tuned. When you have your all your turbo kit pieces ready to go on contact ZZperformance and see what they can do for you.

You will definately need a tune. Quite a few members on here, including myself have gotten our tunes from Will at Overkill. Great guy, very knowledgeable and does excellent custom tunes. Will can also tune specifically for a Turbo. Good luck with your build, hopefully I will also be getting mine soon and we can compare notes. If you can, post some updates on progress and challenges.

Yes yes yes you need to get it tuned or goodbye engine!

If it was me build the car and then contact a tuner to dyno tune the car. Brian turner is a very good dyno tuner he is in ohio.

Other option is buy a actual turbo kit even a used one and then if it's a zzp kit zzp can mail you a tune for it or if cartuning kit cartuning can mail you a tune. From what I've seen no one is going to mail order tune your car if it's a custom built kit it's just to hard with 2 many variables.
