You'll be fine with RTV to seal the adapter.. Looking good Frank.

I like the progress man. Super clean looking it makes me wanna take my engine out and paint it :P Funny you got the ISS grease kit too. I was about to do the same thing to my steering. Does anyone know what kinda grease to use besides the grease in that kit? I'd rather not spend money on a little bit of 'special' grease when i probably have some laying around that i could use

that stinks. Mine took a crap at 163k. Seized up on me (blew a rod) on a trip back home from CT an hour and a half from home. It was quite the headache. Thank God my fathers a 30+ yr. GM mechanic. We swapped out the L36 with a brand new one from Chevy in a day and a half. If you have any questions feel free to pm me. Good luck!

Thanks man, I'm doing all this myself and I only have a chance to work on it a few hours a day that's why it's taking forever lol plus it's my first time ever taking a motor out
It's getting there though

When you say runners, are you talking the runners in the UIM? If so, I would not go crazy cleaning those. They will just get gunked up again..... You could consider an HV3
