Help me identify this wire please!! 2002SS

Okay while trying to find another problem I found a stray wire under the engine cover...two pink wires.
also it looks like something was mounted on the tab that the rear part of the engine cover slides into...whazit?
THANKS

I do belive the is the infomous what does this plug into mysterious no use plug everyone asks about after doing a top swap or LIM gaskets,
Hobbled down to my car ( foot is swelled up twice the size it should be but I wanted a fig anyways) and confirmed that does not plug into anything,
I think it has been specualted that it's posibly a plug used on supercharged models or even somthing that shares the same wire harness

That bracket you point to is no concern. I believe what mounts to that is the California required Emissions Pump.
As for the wire, I'm not sure. I don't recall ever seeing a wire like that. GM is known for using a "1 size fits all" wiring harness sometimes (so some connections are not used all the time).

I have the same thing so your not alone
I removed all of those brackets though. Free weight reduction
But if you do be sure to keep 'em. They come in handy if you ever want to pull the engine out.
