Exclamation Dyno problems

My 02 SS just put down 280 ft-lbs tq but only 177HP any ideas on why????????????????? What could cause this huge drop in HP

Naturally Aspirated? That is a lot of torque! But for a stockish NA 3800 the HP seems just about right...

We would need a mod list and post up a pic of the dyno sheet. Was the pull done in 2nd or 3rd? Convertor locked or unlocked?

I wouldn't take that torque number as gospel. It's pretty common for the torque convertor to flash the dyno with our cars. But if you're NA then that number is respectable. A stock L36 should put down about 150-160whp. 177whp would be about 220-235 crank hp, which is 20-35 more hp at the crank. What mods do you have?
