Default When to Dyno?

Hey guys... well, I have my Jetchip power control module installed... (im not going to lie... holy crap does it help). I plan on getting the exhaust put on in about 2 weeks, plus eventually getting an CAI put on, and a performance MAF. I was also thinking of a bigger throttlebody? So im curious, at all these points... when/should I get my car dyno'd?

Hi `Mike,
I would get one, when youcould afford, to get one : )
If I had the money to mod my Monte, I would want to first
get a base run, then have another dyno run after I did
a major mod (to see what gains I've achieved).
To me, it's all time + Money $
(No $ = No Mod's [X(])
Mike, keep us updated, and if you dyno, please
let us know what HP is @ the Wheel.
Good Luck,
`Space

I think you should have gotten one before any mods, that way you'd have a baseline and can see what each mod gives you.

well, the jetchip I can tturn off at anytime, so I can always have it dyno'd ant not use it. unfortuantly, the closest place to dyno I know of by me is 2 hours away in minneapolis MN. (I live in WI during the summer) Ill be driving back to south dakota.. so soon it will be 4 1/2 hours away. :S

personally i wouldnt wasit a dyno run on just seeing what the car is doing. i would use it mainly for tuning.

im shocked that the jet chip gave you any gains... all the people who i have talked to who got it says it didnt do anything and a few of them even ran it on the dyno too!

getting a benchmark aside, i would say after 3-4 flow mods, you deff should get some form of custom tuning to not only make the most of the mods, but to keep the car safe.these type of mods include: cam, rockers, headers, ported heads, exhaust, intake manifold, TB, FWI (CAI) basicly any three of these will deff push the limits of a stock PCM calibration files.
