You have only so many parts in the chain that can cause the cylinder misfire:
- plug
- plug wire
- coil
- Injector
Sorry, I'm a little late to the game, but here's the methods I would consider (in order I would consider them). I appologize in advance for repeat ideas OR things that have been tried already.
- Inspect the plug wire for damage or signs of arcing.
- Swapping the plug, great idea, see if the problem follows the plug.
- Inspect the coil. If the tip of the tower is dirty/corroded, get a Scotchbrite pad and clean it.
- Swap the coil with a different one. In theory, usually if a coil fails, 2 cylinders will misfire, but it is possible for a coil to have an internal failure causing one tower to have an issue. See if the problem follows the coil.
- Before going further, I would consider checking for any signs of a vacuum leak. Simple way to check, get a can of starting fluid, while the engine is running, mist it around the engine (anywhere that has a vacuum line or connection) and see of the idle changes. If so, spray in that area and see if you can repeat the process. If so, look for a damaged or disconnected vacuum line.
- Pop the ICM off, have the local parts store bench test it.
- Swap an injector, see if it follows the injector.
