Default help... check engine code cylinder 2 misfire

i have a 2001 monte carlo ss with the 3.8 engine and about a month and a half ago the check engine light came on... we read the code and it came back as cylinder misfire 2 then the light went off for a few weeks then it would periodically come one and then off always throwing the same code so last weekend i was on a trip and on my way home the light came on a it has been on ever since i have read the code a few different times i have also taken it to 2 different auto part stores and had them read it and it still comes back at cylinder 2 misfire.. i was told that if it was the spark plugs then it would just say cylinder misfire and not give a specific cylinder.. how would i diagnose if its the plugs or the coil pack?

Swap stuff around and see if the code moves.

If you think it's the plug, swap it with another plug, clear the code and drive.

It also could be fueling related, maybe a clogging injector.
