Default Check engine light / No remote start

So I was installing my interior led lights and at first I wired them to the CNSTR fuse an it worked at first! Then when I started the car- check engine light... So I switched it over to the OnStar fuse and it is showing up on the dash. To make it so much better the remote start just clicks once then doesn't start, I was thinking maybe the remote start fuse blew, does anyone know where it is?

Sounds like you got it. I know from experience that the remote start will not function with a check engine light on. You will have to get any codes cleared unless they cleared themselves. Good luck.

Yeah that's basically what happened in this case, I must have triggered a code while wiring the interior led lights and rewriting the amp in the car, the guy before me drew power from the fuel pump for the amp and something about it just made me feel alittle... Unsafe about the wiring there so I wired the led's to onstar and the amp to the airbag/display. I'm going to take the monte down to my dad's friend's shop so he can clear the code for me so everything's back to working order and I won't have people getting in my car anymore and immediately saying "hey your check engine light is on"
