I just purchased my 04 Monte last week and it has a factory remote start. Every time I use it, the service vehicle soon light comes on. Any ideas why? or how to fix it?

P.S. I called the dealer about it and they said "Ask yourself this, do you really want to use the remote start? We could just unhook it and that would probably fix it." Um, how about you read the code first if ya can...

Title says it all really. I know its 11 years late but hey why not put this out there for others to hopefully find that have similar issues ....good luck all ....
