Today I got an Excalibur 1850 2 way security system installed in my 2002 Monte SS. After I picked up the car, I noticed my airbag light on and it won't go off. Help! What could be wrong? Guy that installed it says he doesn't know what could be causing that.

 

Alot of our systems run through the radio so he may have used a cheap harness and its not compatable with your on star system.

 

Now it's day 1 after the install of the aftermarket alarm system and radio and now the service vehicle soon light is on. The airbag light went out. This is extra strange. I'm thinking I need to take it back to the guy who installed it.

So yesterday I had the scan done for codes. I had one code that came up. p0336. Crankshaft position sensor. Talked to the mechanic and he said that code should have triggered the check engine light, not the service vehicle soon light. I'm getting the sensor replaced today. Also I noticed my instrument cluster lights are out but only for the speedometer. All of the other cluster lights work. Maybe that's the source of the notification. I'll have the cluster rebuilt and see if the light goes off.
