Default Calling all 2004-2005 Supercharged SS owners

I don't know how to post a form but I need some serious help guys litterally in tears.. My car started to knock after I put 87 higher octane in and I realized it after half a tank. I was at a New Year's Eve party and my buddy had to drive since you know😜 two girls in the back! But once we dropped these girls off I noticed the knock.. I checked my oil with no other fluids in the oil or radiator. So I bought 1 gallon of 110 octane hoping to fix it but my attempt was futile.. It has a nasty knock guys I'm tearing up 353 hp v6s don't do this! 😭😭 help me guys please my baby just had a top end motor rebuild at 144,000 miles it just turned 161,256.. Help me guys PLEASE I BEG YOU!

If you have the supercharged SS, it will knock somewhat if you use regular 87 octane. The dealership drove mine around (it was a demo model) on 87. When I bought it, I immediately started putting premium in it like it calls for. And the knocking went away on it's own eventually.

There's no need for the 110 racing fuel. Just go back to the 91 or 93 octane available. If it was the gas causing it, it'll go away on it's own. If it doesn't go away in the next couple fill ups of premium, then you may have another issue. Till then, try to relax. It's not the end of the world.

Happy new year!

Pull your spark plugs, check for any of them that look like they've been hit, in particular if the gap has closed up.
