Question CAI Intake Question

Just want to start with saying hello to everyone, this is my first post and have recently acquired a 2002 Monte Carlo SS with a v6 3800 Series 2 engine from my late father. I am working on restoring it and building it up for some performance upgrades.

I have recently purchased a Weapon-R CAI it has a place for the PCV hose, but I have not been able to locate this hose anywhere (maybe looking in the wrong location), all I seen was the sensor with the electrical connector attached directly to it on the engine.

Is there anyone that has a setup like this that may provide some assistance.

Thank You in advance.

to the forum!

Do you have any pictures or links to what you bought?

The PCV on these cars is on the passenger side of the engine.

The electrical connector in your stock tube is the IAT (idle air temperature) sensor.

Did you open or attempt install yet? Can you still return it?

Can I recommend returning it for either of the following:

1998 - 2004 3.8L Monte Carlo Intake System (Black Powder Coated)

Easy Performance - Wizaired Cold Air Induction System #EP-CAI

ZZPerformance - ZZP 3800 Cold Air Intake #ZZ-3800CAI

What you purchased is just a hot air intake. You want to seal the filter off from the outside air, and the above 3 are some of the best premade kits on the market.

it was supposed to be for the 3.8, however it doesn't seem to be. I will contact the manufacturer directly and find out if I have to have them replace it with a different on..

thank you for all the input.
