Default Alternator Upgrade from GTP

Hey all, I know our vehicles come with 102 or 105 amp alternators at least for the LS's. i read a thread somewhere (cant find it now... surprise surprise) about an L67 guy putting a 2005 grand prix GTP (supercharged 3.8) alternator on his monte. It has a 125 amp output.
So i looked up part numbers, 3.4L and 3.8L and 3.8L SC montes all have the same alternator part number.

Does anyone know if the GTP alt will mount up on our Montes?
$35 bucks at a salvage yard isnt bad for a 20-25 amp power increase for guys who have systems or HID's or stuff.

Any thoughts?

I also have the ZZP voltage booster stage 1. I love it 14.0v-14.5v all day!
I would like 25 more amps in addition to an extra volt lol

Beats buying a $300 HO alt that is way overkill.

My Monte has a 105amp alt. When it died, I ran a 125 amp alt for about 2-3 weeks. Zero problems. The reason I swapped it was I did not need a higher amp alt and from an appearance stand point, it was bugging the crap out of me that one of the wires mounted in a different spot on this alt.

So, pretty much, if it bolts and plugs in, you are good to go.

I'm pretty sure the 05 GTP alternator has a clutch pulley on it which may not align with other pulley's on your Monte

Hmm. I think ill just head down to the local autozone and start comparing alternators lol

"We show our cars, popping the hood and seeing that plug was an eyesore" lol nice chibi.
There has to be a way to make the plug not as obvious. Or make the rest of your engine look ghood enough that no one will even notice the plug :P
