Ouch, but I guses that's what it takes for a solid 4t65. How much abuse/power are you planning to put down?
Thank you, and I would potentially consider it if I could keep my 2.93 gearing... My car is a street car, and I cruise the highways quite a bit. Not to mention my fuel economy isn't great either.
last time I asked, a 2.93 1" set is roughly 2k... almost as much as my entire trans with the 7/8th chain. So I simply tend to not do burnouts and most of my 'races' are from 40mph roll.
Glad to find another turbo monte...!

i totally understand wanting 2.93 gearing it is the best gear for a turbo car that i have found so far.... problem is good luck finding a 2.93 GMR set there so hard to find its insane. even not doing burnouts etc. making pulls alone with a lot of power will still stretch the 7/8 set keep that in mind.
Very very nice work your doing there John. I was drooling over all the nice parts your using in your build. Going to be a bad *** tranny that your assembling for sure. Nice clean work, the LSD will be the icing on the cake for this build. Bet you had to sell your soul to find some of those parts. Nice picture presentation you compiled for us all to view. Least we both now will have bad *** trannys and billet limited slip diffs. for our showdown at the 2014 GM Nats...
Congrats on your build!!

John:
That's way to many parts for my brain to comprehend let alone remember where everything goes!![ROTFL](https://montecarloforum.com/forum/images/smilies/lmao.gif)
I'm guessing the toughest part for you is when you take it in and out of the car? Cause it sure looks like you definitely have the inside of the trans figured out!![Thumbsup](https://montecarloforum.com/forum/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
Care to come to Michigan and and "toughen" mine up?![Smile](https://montecarloforum.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)

lol its a lot of parts but once you do it and keep things organized as to how they come out its not that bad.
its more work taking it out and putting it back in because your fighting bolts and other things in the engine bay and rolling around on the ground etc. but building the trans if you dont have your head on straight that day you could really mess up the rebuild so its six in one half dozen to another

thanks man, my fingers are crossed!!!

thanks!!
lol no need to be jealous, in all honesty there is very VERY few people on the forum making enough power to justify all of these GMR parts, most people would be fine using the aftermarket upgrades that are able to be purchased at a lot cheaper of a price.
you dont need to worry about needing all of these GMR parts until you are making over 400whp IMO
