Default wheel clearance

Hi everyone I am new to the site so here goes.I just got an 85 monte with a 383 stroker in it and need to do an Ontario Can. safety check. Everything seems good on the car except for tires. She is jacked up a bit in the back on cargo springs so would like to put a little bigger tire on it to take up the wheel well. I found some nice rims for sale with mickey tompson tires on them for a pretty reasonable price that were on an 84 buick regal but the guy says they rubbed a bit in a hard turn. I was just wondering if anyone new if I would have to space them on my car? They are what look like centerline rims and the front should be no problem they are 215/65/15. the rear is275/60/15. Any help would be appreciated

If i remember correctly, the 85 MC should be close if not to the same as a 85 cutlass that year...I would think 15's, no matter what, would fit. IMO, use tirerack.com to search tires of that year, it generally has recommendations there. Also check out Montess.com, they usually have alot of old school MC's. But i would think if ppl put 20s on with no problem, you should have NO problem putting on 15s.

Thanks so much, it was not the 15 that scares me it's the 275/60 part, I am afraid that they will rub on the frame...I don't want to have to get into spacing.
