I can't recommend Tire Rack enough! I work 10 minutes north of the South Bend HQ. They have their own test track, and do testing both there and real world testing on their tires. On the weekends during the summer, they open their test track to auto clubs for autocross events.

I put on a set of Goodyear F1 GS-2's a couple of weeks ago. $500 out the door installed, plus a $50 rebate, for 245-45-18's. GREAT price!

FYI, I've been able to match the Tire Rack price at Boland Tire in Sturgis, MI. If they can match Tire Rack's price, others can too. Look for a small dealer that does a large volume of business, like farm tires.

Other cars that are similar to the '06 Monte Carlo would be the '06 Impala, '06 Grand Prix, and I think there's another Pontiac car. They're all sister cars, very very similar, kinda why Pontiac is going out the door now.
