Default Best riding tires 2005

Hello , My wife has decided to keep her 2005 red LS . She has 60000 miles on her and now that we are keeping her we need to put brakes and tires on it. We also have the small clink while turning (out of a parking lot even after lubing the steering (under brake pedal)
I had the front end totally redone at 42000 and the Chevy dealer split it in 1/2 as being out of warranty but shouldn't have been gone($600later) .Water pump just redone also just last month so with all that it was why she was thinking of selling her. I clay bared and polished her up and I think thats why she decided to keep her.
So I was wondering what would be the softest riding tires. We do a lot of road trips and really not into the fast and furious but slow and luxurious.LOL .The stock Goodyears (and replaced already once) were just ok and was wondering about Michelin ,Pirelli Goodyear,Cooper or whatever???
Thanks for your feedback.

I really like my michellin pilot A/S tires. Ride good and all the grip you need.

Michelin's are really good tires, especially for the comfort side of things, but expensive.

I just recenty put Continental Conti Pro Contacts on my car back in March, and they offer a nice ride, good perfomance, and long tread life. (80,000 mile tread life warrenty, not that i'll probably get that, but still, I am pretty sure i'll get a lot of miles on them.) I currently have 15,000 mile on the tires, and they still look new. I bought them at America's Tire who price matched Tirerack.com...Whtever you do, stay away from the GoodYear Integrity! They were stock on my car, and they SUCK!

I am running Pirelli ZR /17's tires on mine (Oops my Wife's) and they are great tires. This is the second set I have had on this car and I have never rotated the tires at all. The Monte Carlo must have been the straightest smoothest ride ever made for this year(2004) model. They are really smooth and I paid less then $500.00 for the set of four.
