1st Gen ('70-'72): Trailing Arm Replacement question.

Trailing Arm Replacement question.
So I'm currently in the process of replacing my bent rear trailing arms on my Monte Carlo SS 2002 and of course the bolts are fused to the bushings. I heated the larger bolt with MAP gas and pulled it out the rubber part, bolt and bushing fused. The other end had to take off the mounting body part so that I could cut the bolt to pull off the old bent trailing arm. Now I'm waiting for GMPartsGiant.com to sluggishly send me 4 bolts while my car patiently awaits on Jack Stands. Anyway I don't see this in my haynes manual. Do I want to grease the new trailing arm bushings before putting the new bolts back on when I get them? It almost seems that I should. If so, what type of grease is recommended?

You have this listed as a 1st generation. Your 2002 Monte is a 6th generation.
My brother-in-law and I did the trailing arms on my Monte (I wanted to upgrade to UMI Performance tubular arms, cost is about $100 for the pair). We did it by hand (no heat either), but some good air tools (like an impact gun) would have REALLY helped.
Mine came with a packet of clear grease. I put some grease on the faces of the bushings. Also during re-assembly, a little anti-seive as well. Because these UMI arms have poly bushings, UMI put grease fittings on, so I greased that part as well.
By having a little grease on the bushings helps prevent "squeaks" when the parts move naturally as they should.
Here's a link to my site and info about the UMI arms:
