Default Dorman Trailing Arms?

I was searching around craigslist today and found a set of trailing arms for a gtp. The guy wanted $50 for them brand new, still in the box.

Stock Trailing Arms = Stamped steel
Dorman " " = Rectangular
ZZP = tubular

So theyre not the best out there but would they make a difference in corning and handling? Do you guys think they are worth $50 or if im going to go through the hassle just fork up the extra $50 and get the better ones?

Thanks in advance

what i read on clubgp is that the dorman's are basically the same as the stock grand prix trailing arms, but that may be wrong

I believe you can get a set of stock Dorman's from the parts store for $40.

Last March I put a set of UMI Performance tubular trailing arms on my Monte (I believe they were about $100). I did not notice much of a difference between them and the stock ones. I know that if you didn't drive my Monte on a regular basis, you'd never notice the difference. But I believe they assisted with a firmer feel on take offs and other VERY small changes.

But they sure do look purty

Here's info about it:
