Strange clunking noise when turning

seems difficult i'd be better to just replace it with a fresh new one :p
but that definitely has to be where the clunking is coming from, thanks for the link man

Frank, the process in that link DOES seem a bit difficult.
But Mike has a link to how he lubes his ISS, it was much easier and It had pictures I believe.
Maybe he'll come in here and post as I don't have the link.

did some research and found the following. It's also very in depth but the first two steps are probably what I would try first.

Shoot down some lube in there. I believe this is what Chibi does every spring on his Monte.

Yeah, they make it sound more difficult than it really is, but I think that write up is from a TSB. Hope that solves the problem.
