I can't say enough about snow tires. Will all-seasons do? Of course they will, but its about quality of life when driving. It is way less stressful driving with good winter tires. These cars seem to be pretty good in the snow (although I store mine), but they can be better.
I suppose it depends on how much snow you get too. London Ontario has got several feet of snow in the last 2 days. Its nuts out there and tire shops can't keep up now...

Do snow tires offer better handling in snow? Sure. But that being said...

I've spent years in northern states. I've always run All-Season radials on my cars and never had a problem. They're a good compromise for dry / wet / snowy road conditions. I guess it comes down to just how much driving in the snow you do and/or if you don't mind paying extra to swap tires back/forth a couple times a year.

SNOW TIRES! I wish we had some snow to use some. As soon as the snow flys here Im gonna try out my Mickey Thompson slicks on my 350 astro. There fun on a rain covered road, cant wait to see how much fun they are on the snow.

It's a good thing I didn't have to go to work today. It took 30 minutes to clean it off, which then made a bigger mess in the driveway. Good thing I bought a new snow thrower, it just tore through it . I cleaned the sidewalks for the school kids that have to catch the bus on my corner, the snow was up to my knees... and IT'S NOT EVEN WINTER YET! Time to move to Florida I say!
