Replaced Front Hub Assemblies, but Bolts?
Hey all,
New forum member. Recently replaced both of the front hub/bearing assemblies with Timken parts (513179 from stockwiseauto). I bought the Haynes manual to do the repair and it said that GM advises that I replace the three bolts that hold each assembly on when I do the swap. My questions are:
1) Does anybody know if this is actually a really important thing to do?
2) What website can I get these bolts from? My 12-point socket rounded one of the bolts so I at least want to replace that one before it becomes a pain to get off.
EDIT:: I have a sixth generation (2002) SS
Thanks for your help,

I have re-used those bolts almost every time (few exceptions). The only time I replaced them was if the head got messed up (I've had this happen once or twice).
When I did, since I could not get to the dealer (which is about the only spot you will get this style bolt), I used hardened bolts with a washer from the hardware store.
