4th Gen ('81-'88): Drag raidals
Hey guys,
Looking to get some advice for drag radials, I have the stock ss rims from my 87 Monte , and I wanted to know if anyone know the widest size you can fit on them... or a set if you could name a set drag radials that you guys run Im pretty set on sticking with the stock rim I like the look and if its possible I want to keep it for the track to. If anything I am also debating getting Iroc Z rims which I've read are a inch wider... any thoughts ?? Please Let me know what you guys think !
Thanks

your stock rims are 7"wide so could puta 9" slick on it. you can go 2"s wider than your wheel is arule of thumb or slick will just contact on the wheel bead spots. i have a 86 and see that you drag race yours. any performance mods. the talk is that if you apply serious power to the ground the rear is going to brake. i just put a 420 hp 355 in mine now they say i'm going to have to upgrade the rear.
