bolts?

Default bolts?

hi kids, has anyone heard of cam bolts? went to have front end lined up cause the steering wheel was not at center steer. well the dude sez he can correct that issue but i need cam bolts to put it back in spec. Ok i say then he tells me that to really correct the problem i need new springs on the front.HUH? I said if u change the struts wont that take care of all that? he sez weeell not really. are the cam bolts and springs all new on new struts? WTF is this joker trying to hose me?

I assume he is talking about camber bolts and not cam bolts.

The cam bolts he is talking about are to adjust camber, which really doesnt have anything to do with your steering wheel being off. If you are having him align everything and the camber is off, then the cam bolts will adjust the lower control arm to correct the camber. All the business about struts and springs are only relevent if the springs are so wore out that the front end sits so low that he cant get the front wheels within spec, which I highly doubt.

^^^^^^^^What he said. I believe those are the big bolts that go through the lower part of the strut and steering knuckle....

Here is a sample of what one looks like. they have an oblong portion to adjust the camber.
(pic may not be the exact one for a monte)
