Unhappy Big Problem

Hi everyone,

well, i live in northwestern PA and we just had a big snow/ice storm today. I was stubborn and stupid enough to try to go to my classes at college which is 20 miles away in Ohio. Long story short...i didnt even make it 2 miles past my house and my rear end slid out and i slammed a high curb pretty bad. im pretty sure i might have bent the rear axle.

im wondering if anyone knows how much a replacement rear axle (or rear suspension) would cost, and if anyone has an old or wrecked 03 monte ss they are willing to sell for parts.

thanks a lot

I would assume the control arms were bent. That would have been what would have taken the brunt of the force and the stock control arms are pretty weak.

yeah, the control arm on the passenger side was bent like a twig, and i just found out after i had 2 new tires put on the back that the right rear wheel bearing was shot too...its getting fixed today and ill have the monte back this afternoon.

as for the price...with 2 tires, new control arm and wheel bearing it came to around $700.
