I havetwo black brace bars on each side of my car underneath my hood and one is over the intake.

The brace bars are bending and they arn'tstraight anymore?

any reson why or has this happen to anybody?

also my transmissionis making a winding noise and I don't know why its making this noise. It only happens when you accelerate on the gas.

any feedback greatly appreciated.

I think I am gonna replace the brace bar'ssoon anda little later add a sway bar, or something

 

in which ways are they bending????? thats odd and about ur trans you could have some kinda slipping going on. and id check your fluids for it.
if your under warranty you should be able to get both fixed easily

 

the bars are collapsing in and the medal is starting to stick outwars, the bars are 50 bucks for both to replace which I will do, but I don't want to keep replacing these if the problem may be a little bigger, My car isn't under warranty anymore, the warrant on mine was 3 year 36,000 miles, I have about 50,000 on my car now. I have a repair shop close to me that I trust and maybe I will get a $40 diagnostic check on the car.

 

Some where your twisting hard cornering? I would check your trans fluid, It maybe low? I would why your at it I would replace the trans fluid and filter too.

 

thanks guys, I do think your right bubba, I think 50,000 miles is reasonable time for a trans flush service, whats the usual milage for trans services?

 

I want to say every year? maybe someone will know the right miles

 

well I showed my brace bars to a friend and he says it doesn't look bent, its like collapsed in areas I gues so things can fit under the braces or so the hood can close, it looks bent a little but he said not to worry, but I definately think I need a trans flush. will do soon I need an oil change to.

 

can you get a pic of them??

 

Oh and I would put some redline atx trans fluid in there

 

Usually flush and replace tranny fluid every 30K miles.
