Hi `Z, check out our sponsor TireRack.
They have some super deals & reviews on tires/rim's etc.
They even have a program to view tire/rim's on your Monte.
It will give you a estimated cost on the type of tire that you are thinking about...Let us know what you decide..Good Luck

I put some Hankook Optimo H727's from Tire Rack on my '05 Monte and they are fantastic. They stick like glue.

check tirerack and realize what makes a tire good.

Take a look at all the specs, ESPECIALLY treadware. Anything over 550 should last a good amont of time, but you'll notice all the performance tires are like 400, you don't get much life out of them, but they grip like nothing else.

Don't worry about performance with your car, just get the best priced with the highest treadware and good traction and wet performance.

A stat I always look it is how noisy they are and also ride comfort.

I have Bridgestone Potenza RE760, Also Hankook Ventus V12 tires are outstanding as well at a better price than the Potenza's

If you're only driving the Monte in good/dry weather, then get some Nitto 555's. They're a drag radial though so do not drive with them in ANY wet weather.
