Default beefy tire?

I searched through what I could and check the sticky on tire sizes but couldn't really find what I was looking for. what other tire sizes will fit the 03 monte carlo ss stock 16" wheels. the tires I run now are the recommended 225/60/16s but Im looking for a more "beefy" tire to help fill the wheel well gap a little more to give it the nice and tight look.

What is the biggest rims i can fit on a 2001 mc SS without pounding out the wheel wells or anything ... 2004 Chevrolet Monte Carlo ... Yeah, you could probably put some 22's on there, but the tires would be like rubber bands.Do tires make that big of a diference? vibration

You can't really go taller because you'll hit the strut plate.

yeah I was just curious on ways to fill up that extra little space in the wells, I guess with a new tire the tread will help a bit mine are on their last limb so going to pick some up this weekend. and thanks space! but not going to lower it, just bought new and complete strut assembly for the rear few weeks ago so don't want to lose money on that with a whole new set up, just trying to get her into better shape for the up and coming High Point meet, thanks guys!
