eibach kit and gr-2 strut install
So today my friend and i took on the challenge of changing out my stock suspension for kyb GR-2 struts and Eibach lowering springs. I told myself that if i was gonna do the job, might as well do the whole thing so i also bought all new strut mounts and also anti pogo washers (powder coated red of course) from zzp. Honestly i was expecting it to be harder as this was the first suspension swap i've ever done, but not for me friend, he's done 3 of his cars and a few friends too. a few tips just to know if anyone is going at it:
remember to get new strut mounts and anti-pogo washers......remember that.
double check that you have the right strut for the right spring
the 2 front strut mounts are the same, but the rears are different for each side so make sure to use the correct part number on each side.
I found it as well as my friend found it really difficult to remove the pins that hold the bottom of the strut on the wheel. We made it easier by heating up the bolt slightly with a handheld torch and going at it with a hammer to remove the pins. they were a pain!
the rear pins you might need to remove the caliper so you dont accidently hit the brake line and bust it.
We started at about 9:45 and finished around 1. Honestly, if the pins came out easier we could've been done by 12:15-12:30.
Now my ride handles soo much better and looks amazing! I do have a problem with vibration on the freeway though, but i have shorter dogbones on the way, they will be here tuesday hopefully that solves the problem as people say it should.
My ride is way smoother over bumps, but its hard not to feel a better ride when you pull your 2 front struts out and they are dripping. they were sooo dead. Only 57,000 on them too. Hopefully these GR-2's will last a while.
new suspension for 550 bucks and alyons mighty breakfast haha.

Sweet setup. I would like to see some before and after pictures.
I had the Eibach Pro-Kit/KYB AGX setup on my 2004 Stratus R/T coupe. I looked great, and cornered awesome, but it road like ****. Hence I now have a 2006 Monte SS.

I've got KYB AGX's and Eibach pro kit on my '04 Intimidator, changed all the spring insulators, strut tops etc when installing, huge difference in
handling and rides great even with the shocks set to 4 (stiffest). well worth the extra expense for the AGX struts, didn't come across any vibration
problems, I'm using stock dogbones with just the spin mod done to them. did you install camber bolts with the new struts and have an alignment done? that could cause or exagerate a vibration, especially at higher speeds
